Back to School

In thinking of what to write our first Idaho Post on the lyric's from Adam Sandler's "back to school" song keep playing in the back of my mind:

Back To School
Back To School
To Prove To Dad That I'm Not A Fool
I've Got My, Luch Packed Up
My Boots Tied Tight
I Hope I Don't Get In A Fight
Ohhhh
Back To School
Back To SchoolBack To School

Here's a picture of Alicia on her official first day of School:

None the less Alicia and I have hit a super long chapter in our family book of which we are totally and completely excited for. The duration of the chapter matters very little to us, but its the unknown adventure of it all that keeps our adrenaline pumping. Alicia has restarted college at BYUI and I am finishing my last express course at Citrus before entering BYUI's business program during the Spring semester. Life is so wonderful right now, we love our apartment, we love our ward, and especially the friends we have and have made since we've been here in Rexburg. We do however deeply miss our family and friends and wish often of a life as an independently wealthy family were we would fly to visit our friends over the weekend. If this were the case though the reunion or the savings accounts titled "Fly the forester's the Chicago" wouldn't be as sweet as we hope they will one day be. Adapting to new surroundings is always a challenge for anyone. Alicia is constantly shaking when outside, regardless of the amount of layers, Lila looks at us and I swear scowls at us with these eye's that seem to say, "I can't believe you took me from beautiful California weather, to this bleak and cold place?!" and as for me I feel that my PA skin is coming back. In Alicia's defense I feel like each and everyday she is learning to enjoy the beautiful scenery and she says now that the cold doesn't both her that much anymore (of course this is coming from her on a day where the sun is out and there are no clouds and its in the 30's) All in all we love our new chapter and will hope to have more posts coming soon like our first Rexburg sledding experience!
