On Monday, October 6 Drew and I took a day to play! Some friends of ours the day before told Drew and I about this Underwood Family Farm in Moorpark. It sounded super fun so we decided that is what we were going to do on our day. After Seminary we went home and changed into our Farm attire and drove to the farm.
Next year we totally need to get cow boy boots.
We went on a tractor ride! It takes you through all of there different fields of fruits and vegetables. We drove through a tunnel of gourds it was so cool to see them hanging there. I thought they were going to fall and knock someone out.
The farm also had a corn maze. We thought it was going to be soooo fun until we couldn't find the hay pyramid in the middle of it. We stink at the whole maze thing because we were so annoyed with all the stupid dead ends. Finally we gave up and went through the exit and "found" the pyramid of hay. The sad part was the three little kids came a few minutes later going the right way through the maze. How sad are we=)
At the farm you also get to pick your own fruits and vegetable depending on the season. We picked sugar pumpkins to make homemade pumpkin pie. They had a couple large fields of all different types of pumpkins and squash.
On our way out of the farm we stopped at there farmers market and had a lot of fun buying all sorts of good food. This is our loot from the market. We bought beets, all sorts of different kinds of squash, 13 sugar pumpkin (10 for Drew's Mom), Strawberries, Apples and tons of different kinds and colors of pumpkins. Oh at the farm they also have there own Bee colony to harvest there own honey. Drew wanted to buy a couple of straws full of honey.....
Not a bad idea until, the big nerd that I am sat on them with my rump and broke them which resulted in my very own Honey Buns!!!!
* that was one of my favorite parts of the trip because it was all over everything and her rump was covered in it. I would like to think a scenario like this won't happen again, but I would be lying. ~ Drew

You to are basically the most adorable couple I know. I love the themed outfits for the farm day. But WHY BEETS?! Have you tasted them before? They are disgusting.
