My Calling In Life

Sorry our posts are few and far between lately. We are currently getting new windows in our place and are unable to stay there. Thankfully Lynn and John (Drew's parents) have been so kind to let us stay with them while that takes place. Even if we were able to stay at our place it wouldn't make much of a difference because we are also in the process of changing internet providers. We had a wireless phoneline with Verizon but never could quite get it to work right because we had horrible reception in our place. It is taking a long time to get internet because we can't decide who to go with. We like not having cable and a phone line and they all want to hook us with one of those. It will all be resolved soon.
For those who don't know Drew was called to be a seminary teacher for freshman and sophomore's (seminary is an 6:30am religious class that meets Mon-Fri for high school aged kids). This year we are studying the New Testament. Drew in turn has taken it upon himself to use his wife as a team teacher. So Drew and I prepare lessons each day and wake up at 4:50am for Seminary. We absolutely love it!!! Not the 4:50am part but we love studying the scriptures in depth each day and sharing what we have learned with the students. We are both so impressed with how enthusiastic they are and that they come ready to discuss the scriptures (even the sophomore's). Drew or BroFo as the kids call him love him and feel the spirit that is present each and everyday. I am so proud of how hard Drew is working with school, work, seminary and with all of that he takes time everyday for me to express his love and appreciation. He is the best Husband EVER! I love him so much and I am so blessed to be married to him. Now for a side note on the wifey; she is so rad! She always goes above and beyond whatever is asked of her and for that I am very grateful for. My wife is right, Seminary is totally awesome and I love every minute of it. I never thought getting up this early could be so rewarding. The Lord truly does qualify those that are called to positions in which they feel hesitant about.

This is such a cool calling. Those teenagers are so lucky to have you guys around, teaching them. I would've loved you as my teachers.
But getting up before 5am? crazy.

Ha, did you two write this post together? Or is Alicia calling herself rad? You are pretty rad Alicia.

What a calling! I bet you two are awesome teachers - what a GREAT idea to have a young man (and his young wife!) teach. Ha, I know I would have thought seminary was a lot more fun with a young couple teaching me!

Ahhh memories of good ole early morning seminary... those were the days! Now I just wake up at 5 to feed a baby! Hahaha! You are the right man for the job Brofo! Sounds like you two make a fabulous team. 5am isn't that bad once you get use to it!

Dear Drew and Alicia,
Once I took New Testament at BYU. I failed it. I bet if you had been my teachers I would not have failed.
Word.
Love,
Your cousin Laurel
