"Do Not Remove"

As kids we hear these first two words everyday until we finally have kids of our own and then once they reach that beautiful age of defiance, we find our selves saying it rather than hearing it on a daily basis. As for the last word this is only ever used in instruction manuals which brings me to my purpose for this post today. In my childhood I use to love to take things apart and then attempt to put them back to their original state, this dream hardly ever happened. As I got older I learned how to disassemble and reassemble pretty well, until I came across the "Magic Bullet". If you are new to disassembling things when you read the phrase "Do Not Remove" it usually means that if you take that screw out you are literally screwed and have lost all hopes of returning it back to working condition. In line with my true diagnosis of ADD, after I had concluded making Alicia and I late night smoothies, I noticed some of the shake had gotten into a part of the bullet I could not reach. So then I noticed some screws and took them off in an effort to perform a deep clean of the Bullet. In the process of removing those screws I noticed a wire and some more screws that if taken off would lead me to my destination. Needless to say after completely demolishing it in a sad attempt to restore it, I sat back and looked at it from a far hoping that I could get a better sense of where I went wrong. That's when I noticed those undaunting words, "Do Not Remove". That's right, the original screws that I had first taken off in a quick attempt to reach that spot for cleaning, were the very thing that lead to my defeat. So here's to you "Magic Bullet" you have humbled me and to the adage "Do Not Remove" I shall never ignore you again.

Drew you crack me up. Bring the bullet home on your next trip, I bet Gabe can put it back together. She's a miracle worker.
